The owner – Tim Springer

I have been in the direct sales industry since 1992 (how time flies) and originally started as an agent in south Manchester area for a company called Colour Library Books (formed before the famous Book People). To cut a very long story short, I worked through many takeovers before becoming national sales manager for The Laughing Gull.

The big step came in 2008 when me and Mike decided to buy The Laughing Gull.  In 5 years, we grew the business to 40 agents working across the country. However personal and business circumstances changed in 2013 and the wholesale business was created.  The company now comprises of two of us selling in the field to our workplace customers whilst expanding the wholesaling arm of the business.  Now I am looking forward to the new challenge of the online shop.

On a personal level, I live in Cheadle Hulme with my lovely partner Paula and have two fabulous children, George and Beth.  We have a cockapoo called Vinnie who keeps us all occupied.  My big passion is watching and playing sport especially football and cricket. I also enjoy a pint or two of Holts Bitter with my fantastic friends.
